Why Early Spaying Saves Lives

We found her wandering the streets in an extremely vulnerable situation. Being in heat, she was being pursued by multiple male dogs, leaving her at constant risk of severe fights or being struck by oncoming traffic.

After patiently following her for several blocks, our team safely rescued her and brought her in for spay surgery. Fortunately, her story took a wonderful turn: her family was actively searching for her across social media.

Thanks to community sharing, we reconnected her with her loved ones so she could complete her post-operative recovery safely at home. We took this opportunity to guide her family on the vital importance of spaying before a dog's first heat cycle—a key step in preventing dangerous street encounters and animal overpopulation.
