Candy is a sweet 1-year-old cat living with her family in the La Florida area. Her home is going through an exceptionally difficult time as her guardians face limited resources while navigating their young son's fight against cancer.

During human medical crises, essential veterinary care often becomes an impossible expense for families. At A Light, we believe that true animal welfare goes hand in hand with supporting our community through empathy and solidarity.

Thanks to our network of donors, we were able to fully cover Candy’s spay surgery. This prevents future unwanted litters while offering meaningful relief to a family devoting all their strength to their child's recovery. Cases like Candy’s remind us that protecting animals also means lifting up the families who love them.
